hung up dark sheets / made rooms a bit dark, had some spooky "music" & strobe lights ...
Well, we had done our best to elicit just a bit of a yell from kids.
I even told them, "be sure to yell! play along!!"
And even the littlest kids (who'd we'd given flash lights to) were
just laughing and having a good time.
After it was all over, I have to admit I had been a bit frustrated
with one of the kids in particular. He folded his arms and refused -
absolutely refused to play along or even pretend to be mildly
entertained. He was bored, even. And we've spent quite a bit of time
putting this together and planning it, etc. Only to get absolutely
zero comment from this one kid.
I got to praying about it a bit.
Then -- it came to me so clearly -
*** The world's fear is lessening. ***
This is huge!! In the world - fear is lessening.
Isn't The Message: "Fear not, be not afraid, for I AM
thy God." (See Jer 30: 10)
**** If we are less and less afraid of bad things in this culture -
then it follows that we will be less and less afraid of disease and
thus able to heal it faster! ****
